@both - currently jedimoose has different categories for myself and BigAl, and I only syndicate my own category to the sites that are interested in me. I guess the question is over what syndication is for, and whether or not it's about who you are and what you're doing, or whether it's their because your content is relevant to a particular audience.
There are some advantages to splitting it off separately, not least that Heather and I (who both have our own blogs already) can blog together, which would see a separate dynamic.

I think ultimately what I may do is set up a separate blog that we'll use, but then cross-post the titles into a summary page, a bit like people who post their twitter updates to their blog on a weekly basis. I think that's probably the easiest way to get the best of both worlds.

Can the sites that syndicate you not exclude particular tags or categories? Or alternatively specifically include tags or categories? Seems to be more of a technical issue rather than a lifestyle issue :-)

If you want to stay with JediMoose can you just separate posts with tags or categories?

I tend to tag all of my posts as general for people that wish to subscribe to everything. Then I use linux/finances/family and so on to tag a specific post. So friends, family and strangers can chose what aspects of my life they want to peer at. For planets I tend to post relevant feeds to them.
