Just a few holiday matters to clear up:
BigAl, GuyIncognito and I went off for some post-Christmas, pre-New Year beers at Bier Halle, and once again partaked in the drinking of Moosehead, and hatched a (beer fuelled) plan to try and get some of their merchandise – personally I like their Beer Holster, which would be perfect for BBQs! However, if any of my readers lives in Canada and would like to fill in their questionnaire and get a free poster, I will happily pay postage to the UK for said poster
YLUG and I (and fellow yorkshire #lugradio folk too) went for a few beers at the excellent Ko-Ko bar (on Goodramgate in the centre of York) – fantastic range of “forrin’” beers, including the wonderful Kwak, and the awesome Golden Draak. It was great fun, and a hearty thank you to the folks who helped organise it (especially Xalior, sheepeatingtaz, Essk and Arby).
Lastly, I mentioned it in the blogmarks, but it’s worth blogging too – there is a petition against software patents in the UK – this is a huge thing, and I thoroughly urge you to sign this petition. Get it here (UK residents only, I’m afraid). If you’re unsure as to why software patents are bad, then drop me an email, or post a comment.
