School children and lateness

After being habitually late for work ever since I started at the detestable “Utilities Company based in Scotland” I decided to make a special effort to get the ol’ carcass out of bed and make it to work on time.

This act of enthusiasm was successful for a good deal of the summer. But for the last few weeks it’s all went wrong.

And that’s because the schools are back.

Now these unwashed little freaks are getting on the bus WITH NO CORRECT CHANGE, endlessly faffing around with their money and carrying on while getting on the bus while they should be IN AN ORDERLY QUEUE WHILE THEY GO TO THEIR SEATS WITH THE MIMINUM OF FUSS.

Daily I’m torn between paying for their journey myself if it means getting to work faster or just booting the little feckers off the bus.

Or I could just get the earlier bus, but where’s the fun in that? A bit of irrational anger sets me up nicely for a day of at work.

One Response to School children and lateness

  1. You should stand at the bus door and say to them “correct change, no dilly dally, and no cheek” if they do not meet said criteria you should be able to punt them off the bus with one kick!!!
