Given the amount of moaning and bad press that gets pointed towards public transport these days, I thought I would pass on my respect to First ScotRail/Buses and Glasgow City Council for the completely flawless journey to work this morning, despite the huge amount of snow that fell yesterday.
Since First took over, trains have been running more on time (in my opinion), and I’ve been very glad too to see more ticket collectors and the like - fare dodgers annoy me no end. There’s a lady on my work train who gets the train every day, and I reckon that she skips the fare at least 2 or 3 times a week. 
But certainly the number of ticket inspectors has increased, and I’m sure they’re catching a lot more folk, which warms the cockles of my fare-paying heart.
