I thought it was probably time, as part of my Lenten series, to put it a proper plug for LUGRadio Live 2006. Quite simply, this is the premier event in the UK for the Linux community (as opposed to Linux business). Run by users, for users. Last year was a massive success, and great fun, and this year looks like it’s going to be expontentially better - 2 days rather than 1, a bigger space, more rooms, more speakers, more everything!
It’s on the 22nd and 23rd of July in Wolverhampton. Reduced price accommodation is available, and the cost of the event itself is really low (£5 last year), so the only cost is travel and accommodation. There are also buses running from the north and south of England, if you want a bit of a roadtrip.
If you only go to one Linux expo this year, then it should be this one. Really, truly.

PS - there’s beer. Lots of beer. And then some more beer.
