Well - they said it would happen, and it has. There have been 8 Vulnerabilities Discovered In Firefox/Mozilla (also blogmarked). Is this the end of the world? Or the end of Open Source.

Let’s put it this way. To quote the above article, If you have downloaded the Firefox 1.0.1 update, you have nothing to worry about. Once again, we have some evidence to show that the pace of development and the finding of bugs and holes in Open Source Software is faster than that of closed-source, proprietary software. In the past 3 days there have been 10 vulnerabilities found in Firefox, all of which were fixed in the 1.0.1 release, which came out on Saturday (IIRC).

Remember to keep you software up-to-date, but, IMHO, if you are using OSS you are still likely to be better off.
